What this tool does

Use a format accepted by your next app or form. JPEG/JFIF are useful for photos; PNG/WebP keep transparency; ICO is capped at 256 pixels.

One still image, up to 25 MB, 50 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. Animated/multipage inputs use the first frame. Files use the existing upload checks, virus scan, queue and automatic deletion.

Common questions

Is JFIF a separate image technology?

It uses JPEG encoding with a .jfif filename. Converting to JPG can help software that expects that extension.

Does HEIC work here?

The installed ImageMagick must support HEIC reading. A missing decoder produces an explicit error rather than a fake JPG.

Can AVIF take longer?

Yes. It uses the shared queue and strict timeout; choose JPG/WebP if an AVIF job reaches the limit.
