What this tool does

Divide an image into an ordered rectangular grid. Uneven divisions assign the remaining pixels to edge tiles so every source pixel belongs to exactly one tile. Download individual pieces or the ZIP.

Each input is limited to 25 MB and 16,000 pixels per side; inputs together must fit 50 megapixels. Output also fits 50 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. One job has 40 seconds. Files use the existing scanner, queue and automatic deletion. Check your latest notice before preparing an application image.

Common questions

What is the order of tiles?

Rows go top to bottom and columns left to right. File names record both positions.

Will a pixel disappear between tiles?

No. Shared integer boundaries cover the full image without overlapping or dropping pixels.

Why are some pieces one pixel larger?

The source dimensions may not divide evenly by the chosen grid. Edge rounding distributes the remainder.
