What this tool does

A border adds actual pixels outside the photo. Rounded corners are exported as transparent PNG; no face or background is replaced.

One still image, up to 25 MB, 50 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. Animated/multipage inputs use the first frame. Files use the existing upload checks, virus scan, queue and automatic deletion.

Common questions

Does the border change the dimensions?

Yes. A 10 px border adds 20 px to both width and height.

How do I get only round corners?

Set border width to zero and choose a radius. Transparent outside pixels are retained in PNG.

Is the white border an official ID specification?

No. It is a manual design setting. Check your current photo requirement.
