What this tool does
Count real PDF pages and words in extractable text, including supported Hindi text. This does not run OCR. A scan can have many visible words but no text layer, so a zero-word result may be correct.
Inputs are up to 25 MB each, subject to the existing plan page limit. Text input is up to 500 KB. Jobs have a 90-second processing deadline and a 128 MB output budget. Existing upload checks, virus scan, queue and automatic deletion apply. Changed PDFs lose valid digital signatures.

Common questions
Why can a scan show zero words?
Visible scanned pixels are not a text layer. OCR can add searchable text first.
Will Hindi be counted?
When the PDF exposes usable Unicode text, language-aware segmentation can count it.
Will this match every editor’s word total?
No. Text extraction order and word-boundary rules differ, especially with columns, symbols and broken text layers.
