What this tool does

Inspect document properties, replace selected Info fields, or remove document Info and catalog XMP. Edited blank fields are cleared. Embedded-image metadata and visible content are outside this operation.

Inputs are up to 25 MB each, subject to the existing plan page limit. Text input is up to 500 KB. Jobs have a 90-second processing deadline and a 128 MB output budget. Existing upload checks, virus scan, queue and automatic deletion apply. Changed PDFs lose valid digital signatures.

Common questions

Does removal erase visible personal data?

No. Text, images and annotations remain; use the appropriate redaction tool for visible data.

What happens to blank edit fields?

They are cleared rather than inherited from the old metadata. Old catalog XMP is removed too.

Are creation dates proof of authenticity?

No. Metadata can be changed and is not a digital signature.
