How to prepare your photo or document image
Confirm that a saved photo is accepted
If the form requires a live photograph, use its capture workflow. Otherwise check the required width, height and file-size range.
Crop and set the dimensions
Upload a clear photograph, keep your face fully visible, and replace the starting dimensions with the values from your form.
Check the JPEG
Download the output and inspect the face and background. Confirm the reported file size and any minimum-size requirement before submission.
Check the output before sharing
- ✓ Check whether a saved photo is accepted.
- ✓ Enter the required width and height.
- ✓ Check the face and JPEG file-size result.
Common questions
Can I use this instead of SSC CGL live photo capture?
No. A saved JPEG is not a substitute for live capture. Use this tool only when your application explicitly accepts an uploaded photo file.
Does a 50 KB file automatically have the right dimensions?
No. File size and pixel dimensions are separate checks. The 200 by 230 pixel starting values are editable and must match your form's requirements.
