What this tool does

Edit a PDF the way other PDF editors work: click on the page and type, click existing text to change it, and add images, highlights and freehand drawings. Drag to move, pull a corner to resize, switch pages from the page list, and undo or redo before saving.

PDFs up to 25 MB, with up to ten edited pages per download. Added text is real text you can select and search, in Helvetica, Times or Courier; text in Hindi and other scripts is added as an image. Changing existing text rebuilds that page as an image with the new text on top, so the page’s other text, links and annotations are no longer selectable. Other pages keep their original content. Flatten interactive forms first before changing their text. Editing invalidates digital signatures; this is not a redaction tool.

Common questions

Can I change text already in a PDF?

Yes. Choose Edit text and click the text on the page (or pick it from the list). It opens in place in a matching font, size and colour, with the background picked up from the page. That page is rebuilt from the reviewed image with your new line on top as real text; the old text is not simply left underneath.

Will the original font be preserved?

Changed and added text is written in the closest standard PDF font: Helvetica, Times or Courier, in bold or italic as the original. It does not copy a document’s own embedded font, so check the spacing before saving.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

Yes: with Edit text, drag a box around the words in the scan and type the new text. The box is filled with the colour around it. Automatic text detection needs a text layer; a scan may have none.

Where are my files processed?

Previewing and preparing edits happen on your device. When you save, the PDF and your changes use the existing MoharDocs upload checks, virus scan and India processing workflow, with automatic file deletion.
