Compress an image to 20 KB
A thin signature needs different care from a large photo. Crop unused paper first, keep the strokes on white, then try this 20 KB JPEG target. This page does not certify an exam requirement.

Crop empty paper around the signature before uploading.
Keep the 20 KB JPEG target and run compression.
Zoom into the thinnest stroke and read the target status.
At most 20,000 bytes only when “target reached” appears. JPEG removes transparency. Do not submit unreadable strokes; use a clearer scan or a permitted larger limit.
Files are processed in India, virus-scanned, and deleted automatically after one hour.
Common questions
Why crop the paper first?
Unused margins take pixels away from the signature. Crop them with the image crop tool before asking for a small file.
Will a transparent signature stay transparent?
This preset makes JPEG on white. Use the main compressor with PNG or WebP if transparency is required.
What if a pen stroke breaks?
Do not use that output. Start with a clearer source or check whether the destination permits more than 20 KB.
